Winter Sarees
Our winter picks
Rich drapes for cold evenings
Cold weather changes what feels right to wear. Sheer cottons make way for denser fabrics that hold colour and look warm under the lights. This page is sarees only, so you can compare drapes without scrolling past jackets.
Satin leads. Our Green and Brown ombre brings earthy colour, and the metallic satins in deep maroon and deep blue carry sequins. Pacific Blue satin with yellow lace and posh blouse fabric is one of our quiet favourites. For a heated indoor venue, the Mother of Pearl gold chiffon is lighter.
For texture, look at the posh pieces. Posh fabric has a plush hand that feels cosy against the skin. Posh Blue my Mind and Romano Coffee are finished with diamond details, and Black Onyx is embroidered.
More than a third of these come pre-draped, including black satin with big diamonds and wine satin with rainbow beads. That makes it easy to slip on a jacket without disturbing the pleats. At a December reception in Delhi, we'd add a velvet blouse and one of our shawls over one shoulder. The wider winter collection has suits and menswear too.
Good to know
Which fabrics work best in winter?
Satin, silk, velvet and posh velvety fabrics feel denser and richer than cotton or chiffon, so they're made for cold-weather evenings.
How do I stay warm in a saree at an outdoor wedding?
Choose a full-sleeve or velvet blouse and layer a shawl or jacket on top. A pre-draped saree makes adding layers much easier.
What is a posh velvety saree?
It's a saree in a soft, velvet-like fabric with a plush feel. Ours add embroidery or diamond detailing for occasions.
