Cotton Saree
For all the days in between
Some sarees are saved for one big night. These are the ones you reach for on all the others: a workday, a temple visit, a griha pravesh or a long Sunday lunch. Most arrive with blouse fabric, so the saree and blouse come together.
Prints do a lot of the work here. Our Elephant Yellow hand block has a green border that makes us smile, and Butterfly comes in white and black with a red printed blouse. Tie dye in chocolate and purple feels easy and a little artsy.
For something classic, look at the Jamdani cottons like Rosemati Red, where the motifs are woven right into the cloth. Our Chanderis with simple gold borders, in white, black, green and yellow, look polished at the office with a fitted elbow-sleeve blouse.
Want a little more shine? The Yellow Sequin Cotton Saree is lovely for an evening puja. If pleating isn't your thing, any saree here can be stitched into our patented Less than a Minute drape for ₹1,299. And for more easy pieces, wander over to our everyday sarees.
Good to know
Can I wear a cotton saree to the office?
Absolutely. Soft cotton, block prints and gold-border Chanderis look neat with a fitted blouse and stay comfortable all day.
What's the difference between Jamdani and Chanderi?
Jamdani has its motifs woven in on the loom. Chanderi is a lighter, slightly sheer weave, often finished with a zari border.
Does cotton crease a lot?
Pure cotton does crease as you wear it. A quick steam before you leave keeps the pleats sharp, and cotton silk blends crease a little less.
