Satin Dual Shade Collection
How it works
One drape, two moods
A dual shade fabric is woven with one colour running lengthwise and another running across. As you move, the saree flashes between the two. On satin it looks especially rich, because the smooth surface reflects light so cleanly.
Many people start with our Paradise satins. Pink and Orange and Fuchsia Flush show the softer side, and Treasure Paradise adds long beads. Midnight Blue, Plum and Frosted Sapphire are simpler, but they still shift tone at the folds, so they never look flat.
For evenings, the metallic dual shades in Champagne, Copper Red and Topaz Blue carry pendants or tassels that swing as you walk. The Fuchsia Leaf satin has all-over hand cut dana. Rosewood is a satin skirt saree with a waterfall pallu and black sequin blouse fabric.
Our styling trick: match the blouse to one of the two shades, and the other will pop every time you turn. Diamond studs or a slim choker are usually enough. Prefer not to pleat? Plum and Fuchsia already come pre-draped. For an even stronger sheen, try our metallic satin.
Good to know
What does dual shade mean?
Two different coloured yarns are woven together, so you see one colour or the other depending on the angle and the light.
Which blouse colour should I choose?
Match it to the shade you want to bring out. A gold or metallic blouse works with almost every pairing.
Is satin comfortable in warm weather?
Satin is smooth but not very breathable. It's at its best in the evening, in air-conditioned venues and in cooler months.
