Gold, Metallic & Multicolour Sarees
For festive nights
Shine or pattern? You can have both
Some days you want to glow, and some days you want pattern. This page holds both. A metallic saree does the work of jewellery under diyas or reception lights, while a Patola or hand block print is all about colour and craft.
On the shiny side, our dual-shade satins lead: blue copper, green copper with leaf sequins, and deep maroon with bronze sequins. The pre-draped liquid gold organza with big diamonds is the one we'd grab for Diwali. More of the shine lives in our metallic satin range.
On the pattern side, there are silk Patolas in red, blue and pink, and hand block prints on cotton, Maheshwari silk, modal and gajji silk. The hand block cottons are lovely for a relaxed festive brunch.
Our one rule here: let one thing lead. With a gold saree, choose a plain blouse in emerald, purple or maroon. Copper and bronze look warm with teal or black. With a busy print, pick a shade from the border and match the blouse to it. Our gold and bronze blouses help too.
Good to know
What blouse goes with a gold saree?
A plain blouse in emerald, maroon, purple, navy or black lets the gold shine. A matching gold blouse works too, as long as the jewellery stays light.
What is a Patola saree?
Patola is a Gujarati ikat tradition known for crisp geometric patterns. Ours are silk, in red, blue and pink, each with blouse fabric.
How should I store metallic and tissue sarees?
Dry clean them, fold them in muslin and refold along different lines every few months. Keep them well away from perfume.
