Saree with Lace
The quiet shine of a lace edge
Lace is our favourite way to add shine without going sparkly all over. It sits along the border or pallu, catches the light as you move and gives the pallu just enough weight to settle on your shoulder.
Satin is the base we return to most. Picture sangria or olive satin edged in bronze handmade lace, sometimes with small pendants at the ends. Or a pacific blue satin with bright yellow lace, which always makes us smile. On the softer side, there's a vermilion shimmer chiffon with leaf beaded lace.
A black lace saree is the one you'll reach for at party after party. Go for metallic lace if the night leans festive, like a sangeet or Diwali. Either way, keep the neck bare and let drop earrings do the work.
For the blouse, echo the lace. One of our sequin blouses picks up the edge nicely, while plain satin lets the border lead. Love sheer texture too? Our lace and net sarees take it a step further.
Good to know
Where exactly is the lace on these sarees?
It depends on the design. Most have lace along the edge or at the pallu end, and the product photos show you exactly where.
Does lace make the saree heavy?
Not really. It adds a little weight to the edge, which actually helps satin and chiffon fall neatly.
What blouse goes with a black lace saree?
A black sequin blouse looks polished for evenings. For contrast, try gold or bronze to match the colour of the lace.
