Blue Sarees
Styling notes
Blue, for when black feels too expected
Navy and midnight blue dress up as well as black, just a little less predictably. Peacock and turquoise bring real colour to a Diwali card night. Blue reads confident without trying too hard, which is why we keep it in so many shades, sky and aqua through to sapphire and indigo.
For evenings, our metallic satins lead. The dual-shade peacock and topaz satins with tassels move beautifully, and the deep blue satin with iridescent sequins is made for a reception. Knitted sequin sarees in blue and mint are a fun choice for New Year.
In the daytime, go lighter. The turquoise linen cotton and the Maheshwari silk cottons breathe well in humid weather. The indigo hand block print with red lace has a relaxed, handmade charm we really like.
Navy looks polished with silver or gunmetal. Royal blue loves gold, and a pink blouse adds a playful twist. You'll find all of these among our blue blouses, and our cocktail sarees have more evening ideas in every colour.
Good to know
What blouse goes with a navy saree?
Silver, gold or gunmetal for elegance. For contrast, try baby pink, fuchsia or mustard, or a black sequin blouse for the evening.
Is blue okay for a wedding reception?
Absolutely. Peacock and deep blue metallic satins and knitted sequins all hold their own under reception lights.
Can I get a blue saree with the blouse already stitched?
A royal blue chiffon comes with a matching brocade blouse with sleeves, and another style comes with a pink embroidered ready-made blouse.
