Metallic Satin
After dark
A shine that comes alive at night
Metallic satin has a liquid shine that wakes up under evening lights. It's smooth and fluid, and in photos it has a glow ordinary satin can't quite match. It's one of our widest fabric stories, in quiet copper right through to bold peacock blue.
The dual shades are our favourites. Burning Desire, Topaz Blue and the maroon-green Enigmatic Elegance flash between colours as you move, and many carry tassels or pendants on the pallu. Crushed pieces like Malibu Blaze add texture, while the black and purple crushed sarees bring bronze and silver embroidery.
Want something ready to go? High on Henna comes with a yellow sequin blouse, already stitched. There's also a copper green pocket skirt saree with a gold corset blouse, and Vegas Grey Lilac with fur trim for a winter party.
Most pieces include self blouse fabric, so the colour match is exact. Since the fabric already shines, keep jewellery fine, or add drama with one of our metallic blouses. For the same sheen in a lighter weight, try our metallic chiffons.
Good to know
How is metallic satin different from regular satin?
Metallic satin has a shimmer woven or finished into it, giving a foil-like sheen. Regular satin is glossy but softer in its shine.
Can I buy one with a stitched blouse?
Yes. Look for titles that begin with “With Readymade Blouse”. The rest come with blouse fabric for you to stitch.
Is metallic satin heavy?
It's mid-weight with a smooth, fluid fall. Kundan, sequins or fur add a little weight to the pallu.
