The blouses you'll reach for on a Tuesday

An everyday blouse earns its place by being worn often. It needs to work with three or four sarees, survive regular washing and still look neat at a meeting. These are our workhorses: woven, structured pieces for women who wear sarees often, not only on occasions.

Jacquard does a lot of the work. It comes in grey, pink, a green with a square neck, yellow with a side slit and wine with a keyhole back. Prints keep things lively, with jade and blue marble cap sleeves and an ikat blouse with a back eye opening. Small surprises help too, like the pink lining inside our Little Black Blouse.

We'd build around neutrals first. A grey jacquard, a black blouse and a printed cap sleeve will cover most office sarees. Then add one bright piece, like the Sunrise pleated blouse, for days with a lunch or a small function.

The woven styles come padded, so a thin cotton or chiffon saree needs no extra layer. Our casual sarees are the easiest pairing. If you'd rather have pure stretch, our work wear knits are built for exactly that.
